McDonald’s New Zealand opened its first restaurant in 1976 in Porirua. Today there are over 170 McDonald’s restaurants across New Zealand, with over one million people visiting our restaurants every week.
In New Zealand, 90 per cent of McDonald’s restaurants are franchised by local business men and women who own and operate their restaurants.
