Keeping up with Kiwis and their love of our Chicken McNuggets is a demanding job that New Zealand’s leading chicken supplier, Ingham Enterprises, does with ease.
Since 1985, Ingham’s has been the sole manufacturer of the quality McNuggets served in our restaurants nationwide, supplying an average of 72 tonnes of chicken per week raised by 30 farmers in the Waikato region.
When ready, the chicken moves from the Waikato farms to Ingham’s Te Aroha and Auckland facilities where the McNuggets and McChicken patties we know and love are made.
Our chicken products are made with 100% New Zealand raised chicken breast and coated in crispy tempura for flavour. That’s it! Pretty simple, right?
Our Chicken McNuggets are a favourite amongst Kiwi Macca’s fans but a little know fact is they always come in four distinct shapes. Known as the Boot, the Ball, the Bow-Tie and the Bell, these four shapes have remained the exact same since they were introduced to menus 35 years ago.
The shapes were all created to ensure they McNuggets could be easily cooked through. Each Chicken McNugget takes 3 minutes and 30 seconds to be cooked in restaurant. Sweet ‘n Sour Sauce remains the most popular dipping sauce amongst Kiwis with BBQ as a close second.
